When my son started having problems with sleeping i was introduced to Lavender and everything associated with it. I knew Lavender was relaxing, so we tried putting it on his pillow and in the bath at night. It seemed to work, but i had to try other ways to aid sleep as well.

Sometime in 2015, a friend introduced me to Young Living essential oils. I did a bit of research and immediately became a distributor. The whole concept resonated with me. It was like I had been waiting for this to come to me. The only oils in the shops or known to me were lavender oil, peppermint oil, and one or two others. Young Living opened my horizon to not only oils for autism, hyperactivity, anxiety, etc but to most conditions on the face of this earth.  For example, Thieves oil is one that we all use at home. This completely aids with flu and hay fever symptoms. Once it is rubbed into the feet at night and you put on socks to lock the oil in, you are good to go.

Cedarwood oil and Vetiver oil were the two I used and still use for my son. They relieve ADHD/ Autism symptoms and improve mental balance. Cedarwood oil helps with good sleep at night and focus during the day. Vetiver oil helps quiet an overactive, exhausted, or stressed mind. It also helps to control anger irritability or neurotic behaviour. The key here is consistency. We used it for a long period daily to achieve results.

  • Putting the oil into a diffuser during the day
  • Rubbing the oil into the feet in the morning or/and at night
  • Rub a fingertip of oil on the temple

Using a Diffuser-

To date, I have used over 15 different kinds of essential oils from Young Living for various conditions or issues (rosemary, oregano, peppermint, frankincense, lemon, orange, stress away, tea tree, thieves, etc) It is also worthy to note that most of these oils can be used as a food flavouring.
